An alumnus of the Fine Arts Department of the Punjab University, Kureshi has had the privilege of being coached in drawing and painting by legends such as Anna Molka Ahmed, Zulqarnain Haider, Collin David & Bashir Mirza. He has participated in various exhibitions and his murals are displayed in public places. He has made major contribution in the interior design and setup of the Pakistan Maritime Museum, Karachi, and the Pakistan Navy War College (PNWC), Lahore. His numerous paintings and sculptures are displayed at the PNWC.

Selected for the CPEC Cultural Caravan as Visual Artist and toured in country from Hunza to Gwadar and represented Pakistan in Xian, China for joint art activities 2018. Executed 24 feet long Mural Paintings for Pakistan National Council of Arts and PNWC, Lahore.

As an Art Critic has written for the Dawn Newspaper, Nigaah Art, Newsline and various other magazines.
